SUMMARY:Good Grief Day Camp 2024
DESCRIPTION:Good Grief Day Camp is a one-week\, non-residence camp designed specifically for children ages 6-12 who have lost a parent or sibling to death. The camp uses the healing elements of music\, theater\, art and nature to help children on their unique grief journey. It also provides these children the opportunity to spend time with others who have experienced similar losses\, helping them understand that they are not alone in their grief. \nAt Good Grief Day Camp\, our goal is to help children begin the healing process by meeting them wherever they are in their feelings\, offering understanding\, and helping them express their grief experience and feelings.  Registration is limited to 20 children and only to those who have lost a parent or sibling to death. The camp is held each year at Farm Friends/ The McCannon Farm during the last week of June. The cost is $50 per camper/$100 per family. Scholarships are available. \nThis year’s Good Grief Day Camp runs from Monday\, June 24th through Friday\, June 28th\, 9am – 12pm. Contact Jennifer Long at (630) 365-2880 to register.
