On Saturday, October 19,2024, we were touched to be included in the Sugar Grove Park District’s first annual “Run to Remember” 5K in honor of Lisa Campise. Lisa was a beloved Sugar Grove resident and Kaneland Harter Middle School Social Worker who touched many lives. Lisa was an avid sponsor of our Holiday Spirit Program. Holiday Spirit is a partnership with the Kaneland Schools that serves to add a little holiday joy to families during a season that can otherwise be difficult. Kaneland Families are paired with an anonymous sponsor who may shop for them. Financial donations may also be made for those that are unmatched, to purchase basic need cards, and additional money for families with a financial hardship through the year.
We were honored to find our program was a cause that Lisa held dear. Runners and community members were encouraged by the Sugar Grove Park District to donate to Conley Outreach, specifically our Holiday Spirit Fund in her memory. We were able to raise a significant amount of money for the agency. Lisa Campise impacted many lives, and her kindness is still being shared by those who continue in here name. We would like to thank the Campise Family and Sugar Grove Park District for allowing us to be a small part of Lisa’s legacy.
